We realize some of you might not be very familiar with Raceway park or why we are inviting you to a racetrack for our wedding celebration. Read on and enjoy a few photos to get a feel for what you’re in for…
I started coming to Englishtown to drag race as a teenager almost 20 years ago. A few years later, I met a some punk kids - who would later form ClubLoose - just starting to organize the first east coast drifting events in one of the parking lots. I was hooked. They couldn’t get rid of me.
Eventually a proper road course was built and our main dude Mike Napp (who owns the place with his family) joined in the fun, drifting with us on track and supporting us off track as we turned the pits into a shanty town of RVs, trailers, and sleeping bags every weekend. Over the years the shanty town became semi permanent, Sneaky Pete’s, the trackside bar appeared, bathrooms were towed in, and showers were built. Add these to the generations-old world class drag strip, public-use airport, workshops, junkyard, endless asphalt, local pizza joints and bagel shops, and we never want to leave.
We’ve spent some of the best times of our lives here - drifting, wrenching on cars, partying, filming, building bonds, and living life however we pleased. This place became our home away from home and this group of buddies became the absolute core of my best friends.
It has been incredible to have Marissa join the party these last few years, holding on for dear life in the race cars, laughing at our nonsense and becoming part of the crew.
It means a ton to us that Club Loose and the Napp family have welcomed us to celebrate our wedding with all of you at this greatest place on earth. We’ll be leaving the race cars in the garage for this one, but we’re sure you’ll have a blast at the track!
